I know it's been a long time but... my mom's birthday was yesterday (the 9th) and mine is today (the 10th). Happy birthday to me. I'm 24! I'm getting old(er). Geez...

Happy holidays, everyone! The tree is up and decorated. There's also a few presents under the tree (not pictured) this year, which is cool to me. People normally give just money, but I bought my family (mom, dad, and brother) presents. They bought us a little something, my brother even bought us something. I guess we're in the gift-giving spirit this year, haha. I'm 23, and I still love opening presents. There's more thought into getting and wrapping gifts than to just hand over a check or cash. I'm good with cash too, but uh... you know what I mean! Haha.So yeah, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. A little later today, I'll be making pasta salad and this chocolate/powdered sugar Chex cereal stuff that's really bomb (I think they're called muddy buddies?). Honey baked ham, pies, pasta salad, regular salad, beans, and other good food. Tomorrow, I head over to my aunt Diana's house to join a bunch of other family members. My cousins, Katey and Angela, come in from out of state. Katey moved to Portland a few years ago, and Angela just moved to Wyoming earlier this year. I'm looking forward to seeing them. :) Family, fun, food! As always...
I think I'm getting tired of using Greymatter as my blogging tool. I've noticed that a few of my posts have received 40+ comments - all from spammers. I don't like that. Is it hard to install wordpress? Do I need to make everything php, or am I okay with html still? If it's all too confusing to me, and I don't think I can do it myself without stressing out, then I'll just stick with GM. Just thought I'd ask though.
Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas tomorrow, or whatever it is you celebrate.

My Thanksgiving was good. Everyone went to my grandma's house, like always. Everyone, minus my two cousins (they've moved out of state, but they'll be here for Christmas). My brother's friend, Robert, didn't have anywhere to go... so we invited him with us. :) There was lots of food, the football game was on, and good conversation was had. Fun times too. And then, of course, there were leftovers.
As for my grandma getting robbed, everything's okay. She bought a 32" flatscreen tv, and she loves it. It's better than the tv that was stolen, haha. She also got money back from her insurance. The only things that she can't ever get back were some of her jewelry pieces. She took what was most important with her, but one of the pieces that she didn't take with her was this beautiful and expensive necklace that she bought while in Cairo. :\ Oh, and now she has an alarm system in her house. Took her a little while to get used to it, and remember what she has to push everytime... but I'm glad she has some security now.
As for that t-shirt contest that I submitted to... I wasn't contacted. I didn't win. It's all good though. They were looking for something different than what I made, and that's cool by me. Atleast I tried, right? Right.
Do any of you watch Fringe or FlashFoward? I love both of these shows, because science fiction stuff is so interesting and thought provoking. If you've seen Fringe, you might've noticed that it uses that whole quantum multiverse interpretation heavily. Traveling to, or seeing, parallel universes. Basically, "the universe splits every time a decision is made. One tiny quantum event could separate us from another reality." I watched this week's episode of FlashFoward, and the same theory was mentioned between two of the characters. After it was brought up, my mind was kind of racing with ideas. I'm thinking that maybe their flashforwards have to do with the Many Worlds Interpretation. That maybe everyone saw their future of an alternate world/reality; the different choices/paths that they might've made in their lives to bring them to another reality. A "this is where your life would be if you chose a different path" type thing. I'm not sure if you can follow what I typed, but in my head it makes sense. I can't wait to get more answers.
I'm looking forward to Christmas. I've still got some shopping to do, but it'll be done soon enough. I might try to put up and decorate the tree this weekend. MIGHT!
I don't know what else to add, but if I think of anything else... it'll be edited. Peace for now!

Today, we found out that someone broke into my grandma's house last night or early this morning. Thankfully, she's been in Michigan for the last 3 months, so she was safe. But still, it's not cool. They went through her back gate and it looks like they put a crowbar (sp?) or something to get the backdoor open. As far as break-ins go, it wasn't too bad. I was thinking there'd be some major vandalism, and a lot of her stuff gone. Fortunately, my grandma doesn't have a lot of electronics and what not. They got away with her only tv and all of the jewelry in her drawer. She had her most sentimental pieces with her, but took some pricey and good jewelry. I don't think they were smart enough to really figure out what was valuable in the house, because they didn't take any of that. Good thing though. But yeah, my mom and I went to her house to check it out with my aunts and a cop. I took some pictures for her insurance people.
On Thursday, I entered a t-shirt contest (Dusty Groove) that my friend told me about. I was told about it four days before the final day of submitting it. Haha. So yeah, I was rushed to figure out what to create. I made it with the thought of "keeping it simple" in my head, because when I was looking at their other store t-shirts, they all looked very simple. All good with me. I'm being kind of modest though, because the more I look at it... the more unsure I feel about it. I mean, I guess it’d look cool on a t-shirt and I’d rock it. It won’t bother me too much if I don’t win, but it’d be dope if I did. Doesn’t even have to be first place or anything. Haha. I just did it to do it, because you never know what’ll happen unless you take a shot. :] Winners are announced on November 12th, so if I get any emails or calls about me winning anything, I'll let you all know. And I'll post the image. Haha.
Ummm, what else? I recently joined Facebook aka the dark side. I like Myspace a lot, but it seems like all of my favorite people have migrated over to FB. :| So... I signed up. You know what I like about FB though? I've been using it to reconnect with people I used to be cool with back in the days. Haha, awesome. If any of you want to be friends on FB or Myspace, drop your links or names or whatever. I don't mind.
Welp... until next time. :] Peace.
